Boss of the Game – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the subscription and use of the Boss of the Game Ask Engine Optimisation (AEO) Layer (“the Service”). By subscribing to or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not subscribe or use the Service.

1. The Service Provider

Boss of the Game is currently operated by Natalie Law, trading as a sole proprietor, based in South Africa.

Payment processing is handled via PayFast in the name of the sole proprietor.

2. Description of the Service

Boss of the Game provides a subscription-based Ask Engine Optimisation (AEO) layer designed to help AI-driven search and recommendation systems better understand when and how a business may be relevant to user queries.

The Service includes:

  • Access to the Boss of the Game platform
  • The ability to upload, edit, and delete question-and-answer pairs
  • Technical delivery of an AEO layer, which may include:
    • Hidden HTML content
    • Structured data such as JSON-LD / FAQ schema
  • Ongoing access to the Service while the subscription remains active

Keywords, metadata, and system-level optimisation elements are generated and managed by the Boss of the Game engine and are not directly editable by subscribers.

3. Subscription Fees and Billing

  • Subscription fee: R1,000 (one thousand South African Rand) per month
  • VAT is not currently charged
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
  • Billing is recurring and will continue until cancelled
  • Payments are processed securely via PayFast

4. Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation stops future billing
  • Access remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial months or unused time

5. Fair Use Policy

The Service allows unlimited manual uploads of question-and-answer pairs, intended for normal business use.

The following is not permitted:

  • Automated or scripted bulk uploads
  • Abuse, scraping, or system-level exploitation
  • Uploads that materially degrade platform performance

Boss of the Game reserves the right to review, throttle, or temporarily restrict access if usage is deemed abusive or outside reasonable business norms.

6. Content Responsibility

  • You retain full ownership of all questions and answers you upload
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and compliance of your content
  • Boss of the Game does not review, verify, or approve uploaded content

You agree not to upload content that is:

  • Unlawful, misleading, or deceptive
  • In violation of third-party rights
  • Harmful, defamatory, or regulated without proper authorisation

7. Intellectual Property

  • You own your uploaded question-and-answer content
  • Boss of the Game retains ownership of:
    • The platform
    • The system architecture
    • Delivery mechanisms
    • Automation logic
    • Prompts, workflows, and optimisation structures

Boss of the Game may use aggregated or anonymised usage data for product improvement, internal analytics, and marketing or case study purposes.

No client-specific content will be publicly disclosed without consent.

8. What the Service Does NOT Include

  • Guaranteed rankings, traffic, leads, or AI recommendations
  • SEO services beyond the AEO layer itself
  • Content writing or copy creation on your behalf
  • Legal, medical, financial, or regulatory advice
  • Website development, hosting, or maintenance
  • Control over or guarantees related to third-party platforms (including AI systems)

AI platforms are independent third-party technologies, and their behaviour, recommendations, or outputs are outside the control of Boss of the Game.

9. Suspension and Termination

Boss of the Game reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if:

  • Payment fails or is reversed
  • These Terms are breached
  • Uploaded content is unlawful or harmful
  • Platform abuse or misuse is detected

Termination does not entitle the subscriber to refunds.

10. Availability and Changes

  • The Service is provided on a best-efforts basis
  • Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance or updates
  • Features and implementation methods may evolve over time

Material changes to these Terms will be communicated to subscribers.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Boss of the Game is not liable for loss of revenue, profit, or business opportunity
  • Boss of the Game is not liable for changes in AI or search platform behaviour
  • Boss of the Game is not liable for indirect or consequential damages

Total liability, if any, is strictly limited to the subscription fees paid in the two (2) months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to Boss of the Game, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms
  • You agree to be bound by them
  • You are authorised to act on behalf of your business
